4.7 The USPS MOBILE® app is a powerful tool for anyone who regularly interacts with the United States Postal Service. It offers a variety of features that streamline the mailing process and enhance user experience. Here are some of the core features that stand out:
As someone who frequently sends and receives packages, the USPS MOBILE® app has become an essential part of my daily routine. Just last week, I had to send a birthday gift to a friend across the country. Instead of making a trip to the post office, I used the app to schedule a pickup right from my home. The postal worker arrived at the designated time, and I was able to continue with my day without interruption. Additionally, I often use the app to track my incoming packages, especially when I’m expecting something important. Knowing exactly when my items will arrive helps me plan my day better.
The user interface of the USPS MOBILE® app is intuitive and user-friendly. Upon opening the app, I’m greeted with a clean layout that makes navigation a breeze. The main features are easily accessible from the home screen, and I appreciate how quickly I can switch between tracking, scheduling pickups, and finding post offices. The performance is smooth, with minimal loading times, which is crucial when I’m in a hurry. Overall, my experience has been overwhelmingly positive; the app has simplified my mailing tasks and made them more efficient. I feel empowered knowing I can manage my postal needs right from my phone.
The USPS MOBILE® app is completely free to download and use, which is a significant advantage. There are no hidden fees or subscription costs associated with its features. However, standard postal rates apply when you send packages or letters, but the app itself does not charge for its services. This makes it an excellent tool for anyone looking to save time and money while managing their mailing needs.
The USPS MOBILE® app is regularly updated to improve functionality and user experience. I’ve noticed enhancements in speed and new features being added over time, which shows that the developers are committed to keeping the app relevant. In terms of support, the app provides easy access to customer service options, including FAQs and contact information for assistance. I’ve reached out once for help with a tracking issue, and the response was prompt and helpful, which left me feeling valued as a user.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when using any app, and the USPS MOBILE® app does not disappoint. It is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring that it meets the necessary security standards for mobile applications. During the registration process, I was required to provide some personal information, such as my name and address, but I felt comfortable knowing that USPS has robust security measures in place to protect this data.
Importantly, the app does not bombard users with ads, which is a relief. I appreciate that my experience is not interrupted by unwanted advertisements. Additionally, the app does not engage in excessive tracking behavior, which is a common concern among users today. Overall, I feel secure using the USPS MOBILE® app, knowing that my personal information is handled with care and that my privacy is respected.

Very slow and doesn't propagate all your tracking right away, and some features like "informed delivery" still takes you to web browser. It doesn't stay within the app so you can make more specific changes like to account info, or to specific tracking number, or even file a dispute or make a complaint about a courier not following delivery instructions like you can with Amazon. Those changes can only be done via web version which negates the whole purpose of even using this app. Do better!

really slick app. works pretty good for what I use it for. which is tracking incoming and recently delivered mail and packages. I recently used it to initiate a change of address and it worked very well. I learned to click the password blank instead of the username to make my android phone auto fill both boxes. took a few tries to get the hang of the navigation but after getting used to it I can get to where I want In 3 to 4 clicks

The old version was much better and much more accurate. The new version, often, if you add a tracking number, the new version will add the same tracking number again so then you see a double in the app. other times the app doesn't add the tracking number so you need to manually. Also, the emails we now get about it often domt state some packages being delivered today in the daily email even though it states, they are in the app. also, it would be nice if you start posting a picture of a pkgs

Been using this app for several months now, and I like it as I can screen my mail so I don't have to go out every single day, but only when "important" mail, such as the dreaded monthly bills that we all get that we'd like to put in the circular file, but can't 😄, and family correspondence, to name a few. I can even tell when I have packages coming as well. The app allows you to purchase stamps and other items as well.

I've been using it for quite some time, especially the Informed Delivery function. It works well. The biggest issue is that there are often letters/cards/etc that are not logged in regardless of their size, shape, or configuration, thus not included in the Informed Delivery email; with today's technology any package should be able to have a pic of its label taken and have the pic processed into the ID system so we know what is on the way. Package/mailer tracking starts when label is generated.
