3.8 The "Windows App" is a versatile tool that has transformed the way I manage my daily tasks and projects. Here are some of its standout features that make it a must-have for anyone looking to enhance their productivity:
As a freelance graphic designer, my daily routine is filled with various projects, deadlines, and client communications. The "Windows App" has become an essential part of my workflow. For instance, I use it to manage multiple design projects simultaneously. Each project has its own board where I can track tasks, deadlines, and client feedback. This organization allows me to juggle different clients without losing track of any details. Additionally, I often collaborate with other designers, and the app's sharing features make it easy to assign tasks and provide feedback in real-time.
The user experience of the "Windows App" is nothing short of impressive. Upon launching the app, I am greeted with a sleek dashboard that displays all my active projects at a glance. The layout is intuitive, making it easy to navigate through various features. I particularly appreciate the drag-and-drop functionality, which allows me to rearrange tasks effortlessly. The performance is smooth, with minimal lag even when I have multiple projects open. Overall, using the app feels like a breath of fresh air; it enhances my productivity without adding unnecessary complexity to my workflow.
The "Windows App" offers a variety of pricing plans to cater to different user needs. The basic version is free, which is perfect for individuals or small teams just starting out. However, for those who require advanced features like enhanced collaboration tools and reporting, the premium subscription is reasonably priced. I opted for the premium plan, and I believe the investment is well worth the productivity gains I’ve experienced.
The developers of the "Windows App" are committed to continuous improvement, regularly releasing updates that enhance functionality and fix bugs. I’ve noticed that they actively listen to user feedback, which is a huge plus. Their customer support is also commendable; I reached out with a query about a feature, and I received a prompt and helpful response. This level of support gives me confidence in the app's reliability.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when using any application, and the "Windows App" does not disappoint. It is available on the official Microsoft Store, ensuring that I downloaded it from a trusted source. During the registration process, I was only required to provide minimal personal information, which is a relief in today’s data-driven world. The app does not bombard me with ads, and I have not noticed any intrusive tracking behavior, which is a significant concern for many users. Overall, I feel secure using the "Windows App," knowing that my data is handled responsibly and with care.

EDIT: 4 months later and it seems to have gotten even worse. Literally constant freezing and crashing. It's unusable. I don't understand how Microsoft could put out something THIS bad. Constant freezing, crashing, and forced closing on Android. Very unreliable. Looking for an alternative because this app has proven it's not out of beta with how often it freezes or crashes on me. I expect better from Microsoft.

I use the RD app on my phone and tablet to occasionally check on the 2 windows pro machines on my network. I didn't use it a lot but it was handy and IT WORKED. Windows App forced itself on my tablet last night and I couldn't get it to work AT ALL. Original connections failed, attempts to set up new ones failed. From the other ratings it looks like I'm not the only one having this issue. Also a stupid idea for an app name.

2 stars, despite as many, many, MANY reviews claim. It simply doesn't work very often. Or at all. Honestly I've gotten it up and running when first installing, and WHEN it is working properly. I actually find it to be one of the apps that allow easier, more streamlined navigation of your pc. Hints the 2 stars, instead of 1. However getting it up and running. And ESPECIALLY keeping it up and running. NOT GONNA HAPPEN. Unfortunate too, because i prefer it's navigation, over others. FIX IT!!

This app USED to be the best. Now it just hangs, and crashes CONSTANTLY. You can try every fix in the book and it still won't work. Don't even bother reaching out to them. Microsoft's generic reply is that either you app is out of date or Windows is out of date. This issue has been happening to me across three different phones, three different major android versions, two different machines, windows 10, 11, and server. The only constant is this app.

Constant crashes, freezes, and disconnects since the July update. Happens regardless of network or target PC. LAN or AVD. Desktop session or remote app. Direct or through RD gateway. it's always the same: I connect to the PC/workspace and after a minute or so of normal use I get a grey screen and a spinning throbber. Often while scrolling. It's been months and still no fix in sight. Thanks Microsoft, you've made it impossible for me to work from my phone, which is actually kind of a big deal.
